A member of the team can usually be contacted by telephone between 8.30am and 5.00pm,. However, there is an answer machine and all messgaes will be responded to as soon as possible.

The School Support Staff Development Team offers introductory level training for:

Teaching Assistants i.e. all those giving direct support to teaching & learning within the classroom environment.

All other School Support Staff working throughout the school e.g. administrative staff, caretakes, lunch-time organisers, librarians, technicians, out-of-school workers etc.

We can offer advice about many qualifications and training opportunities, including how to acheive Higher Level Teaching Assistant Status.

Course booklets are sent into schools at the end of the summer term

Newsletters are usually circulated once per term.

Network meetings are held regulalrly throughout the year. These and any new developments and training opportunities are advertised by fliers sent into schools.
