Introduction and Welcome

Diane King

A very warm welcome to the newly established CSF Multi Agency  link to the REAL Trust. We hope that you have been able to browse through the website to get a flavour of how we work.

In implementing the Children's Act and the Every Child Matters Agenda, we know that we are supporting the most ambitious national agenda ever. We cannot do this without you. As practitioners you have the skills, the expertise and indeed the moral purpose to ensure that we deliver this agenda in Rochdale.
Two driving principles lead this agenda that every child has the right to a childhood and that we are able to support and ensure social inclusion.

Multi agency strategic groups have been established to provide leadership for the development and implementation of Children's Workforce and Multi Agency Professional Development. This work will be directed nationally by the Childrens Act and locally by the Rochdale Borough Children's Trust Children and Young People's Plan (CYPP). This is a four year plan which sets out clear, agreed priorities and targets for all of us who work with children and young people across the Borough.

As such, the CYPP is important to everyone working with children and young people in all services and agencies. I want to encourage you to take the opportunity to get to know the CYPP and to understand how your work contributes to the key priorities.

The CYPP is available on the website;
