Planning and delivering a balanced unit of work in Year 1 - CANCELLED

  • Striking the right balance between arithmetic fluency, reasoning and problem solving is key to achieving high standards in mathematics

This course will build on the ‘Planning in Thirds’ maths co-ordinator training from last year by providing for teachers three exemplar units of work for the Year 1 programmes of study, demonstrating how an effective unit could be planned and implemented.

The course will be full of practical ideas for teachers in Year 1 but will also build on the training for maths co-ordinators and senior leaders by analysing a balanced approach to planning, delivering and monitoring a robust unit of work.

Please note that lunch will not be provided, therefore delegates are advised to bring their own
