Shape, Space and Measure in EYFS - DATE CHANGED TO 15.5.19
- This is one of two sessions, the second session is called 'Counting and the Number System in EYFS' on Thursday 4 April 2019, although not compulsory practitioners are encouraged to attend both sessions
By the end of this course learners will:
• Understand the key stages of development children may go through within shape, space and measure• Recognise how to support shape, space and measure to suit the needs of a variety of learners• Recognise how to support shape, space and measure within areas of provision• Learn different ways to integrate shape, space and measure into other areas of learning

Lisa Leach (Independent Maths Consultant)
Lisa Leach has worked in Education for over 20 years, as teacher, senior leader and consultant for the Local Authority. She is passionate about mathematics and now as an independent maths consultant, works across schools in the Northwest providing training, bespoke consultancy and support for teachers and teaching assistants to ensure primary/EYFS maths education is of a high quality and children are enthused and motivated to learn.

By Road: The Rochdale campus is 2.6 miles from junction 20 off the M62. Follow the signs for Rochdale town centre
By Rail: Rochdale train station is a ten minute walk from the Rochdale Campus through the town centre. It is also a Metrolink station, Manchester’s light railway system, which links Rochdale with Oldham, Bury and Manchester City Centre.
By Bus: The Rochdale bus station is approximately 5 minutes’ walk from the Rochdale campus. There are frequent bus services throughout the borough which terminate in Rochdale.
