Governor Training - The New Ofsted Framework
- This session is for any school governor, whether new to role or highly experienced
Ofsted’s new inspection framework for September 2019 was published in draft form earlier this year, and has been subject to consultation. With a greater focus on the curriculum and on education in its fullest sense – not just test results - this framework will mean that inspections will look a little different in practice. Inspections will focus less on internal school assessment data (though the focus on published data remains) and give greater attention to other indicators of achievement, drawing on a wealth of research that Ofsted have published about all areas of the framework.
This session will cover:
- What the new inspection framework covers and how it is structured
- How schools can use this framework to inform their self-evaluation
- What might be different for governors
- What is meant by curriculum ‘intent’, ‘implementation’ and ‘impact’
- Venue & Travel Information
