CANCELLED - Outdoor Learning – Forest School Spring Forage

Curriculum link: Science (seasonal changes, classification & properties); Food Technology (outdoor cooking); PSHE (risk taking);

This session aims to provide teachers with the resources and knowledge to identify up to 5 common edible plant species and the different ways they have been used for traditional recipes. Learn good practise for cooking over an open fire and also for using hand tools safely.

NatureEd CIC is a Community Interest Company working in an agreement with Rochdale Council and offering a wide range of dynamic environmental education activities from an education base at Hollingworth Lake.

Judy Alderson & Jude Murray are Directors of NatureEd CIC and freelance environmental educators. Judy also works part time as a Countryside Ranger for Rochdale Council and Jude is a sessional instructor with Oldham Outdoor & Environmental Education Service.

These CPD workshops are a chance to share our knowledge of hands-on eco-activities and our expertise as Level 3 Forest School Practitioners.
