Taking the Curriculum Outside – Maths & Literacy - CANCELLED
- Curriculum links: Maths (counting, sorting, measuring); Literacy (Stick man, This is not a stick); PSHE (risk taking).
This session shows how the learning value of playing with sticks can be linked to maths and literacy. The session involves a short walk identifying trees, collecting natural materials and using sticks in a variety of activities.

NatureEd CIC is a Community Interest Company working in an agreement with Rochdale Council and offering a wide range of dynamic environmental education activities from an education base at Hollingworth Lake.
Judy Alderson & Jude Murray are Directors of NatureEd CIC and freelance environmental educators. Judy also works part time as a Countryside Ranger for Rochdale Council and Jude is a sessional instructor with Oldham Outdoor & Environmental Education Service.
These CPD workshops are a chance to share our knowledge of hands-on eco-activities and our expertise as Level 3 Forest School Practitioners.
