Do you have a desire to support colleagues through their early career development?
Pioneers Partnership SCITT are proud to offer this NASBTT-accredited course, suitable for current or aspiring mentors of Initial Teacher Trainees (ITT) or Newly Qualified Teachers. This programme has been designed by NASBTT and is tailor-made for colleagues working in school settings across all age ranges.
Participants will strengthen their skills and knowledge in order to provide a wealth of tailored mentoring and coaching opportunities as well as supporting in-school training advice and guidance for colleagues in their first few years of their teaching career.
Mentors will gain a nationally recognised qualification: ‘Level 1 Effective Mentoring and Coaching’ which is accredited by The National Association of School-Based Teacher Trainers (NASBTT). This will enable delegates and their schools to support their trainees and Newly Qualified Teachers as part of the Early Career Framework (ECF).
Commitment: Attendance at all 4 x 2hr twilight sessions is necessary to gain accreditation.

In this first session, delegates will consider and explore what mentoring is and the importance of the mentor-mentee relationship.

In this second session, delegates will cover a range of mentoring skills and learn how to set SMART targets.
