Governor Training - Governance during Covid

  • Keeping on top of Governor links during COVID

Many of the normal ways in which governors keep themselves informed in order to support and challenge their school have become more difficult during the pandemic, but at the same time new practice has been developed that many people want to keep up with even after the virus recedes.  Schools are also under significant pressures from covid that governors have to understand, whilst also not letting go of the school improvement agenda.

This session will look at - and share experiences with – issues such as:

  • How to plan and get the best from virtual school visits
  • The ‘covid-related’ issues that governors need to be informed about – what questions should we ask and how do we know what is ‘good’?
  • How governors who can’t get into school can still be informed first-hand
  • Facilitator
  • Venue & Travel Information
