Do you have a desire to explore the principles of instructional coaching and develop your own coaching skills?

Pioneers Partnership SCITT are proud to offer this NASBTT-accredited course, suitable for all those who have responsibility for developing mentors and early career teachers in any education setting.

Suitable also for current or aspiring mentors of Initial Teacher Trainees (ITT).  This programme has been designed by NASBTT and is tailor-made for colleagues working in school settings across all age ranges.

What is Instructional Coaching?

Instructional coaching is a model of teacher development which bridges the concepts of mentoring and coaching and which guides novice teachers through a series of expertly designed steps to improving their practice. Delegates will understand the principles of instructional coaching and be able to embed it within their own practice. They will be equipped to develop their mentoring to include an instructional coaching approach and will be made aware of ways in which they can develop their mentor skills as teacher educators.

Delegates will gain a nationally recognised qualification: ‘Level 2 Instructional Coaching’ which is accredited by The National Association of School-Based Teacher Trainers (NASBTT). This will enable delegates and their schools to support their trainees and Newly Qualified Teachers as part of the Early Career Framework (ECF).
