ADHD and Executive Functioning Difficulties
- This course will focus on the difficulties associated with ADHD, will consider the presenting behaviours in school and the impact on relationships.
- We will look at some practical strategies to support children with attention and concentration difficulties in the school setting.
- We will also develop understanding of executive functioning skills and how they can impact on children and young people.
People with executive function challenges can struggle with planning and prioritising, organisation, time management, working memory, sustained attention, impulse control, frustration tolerance and emotional regulation. We will be thinking about how to support children and young people with executive functioning difficulties.
