Helen Austin, Senior Educational Psychologist

I worked initially as a primary school teacher before qualifying as an Educational Psychologist in 2005. Since then, I have worked in Rochdale within the Educational Psychology team. My role as a Senior EP involves regular supervision of other members of the team. I have always held a particular interest in supporting children and young people who experience social, emotional and mental health needs including anxiety. I am interested in approaches which can be used to better understand and support CYP with these needs including Personal Construct Psychology, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Video Interaction Guidance.
