Sensory Processing and Autism

  • Sensory Processing allows us to effectively register the sensory input around us and therefore make decisions and carry out actions based on that information.
  • Some children have difficulty processing sensory information and this is known as SPD (Sensory Processing Disorder).
  • This introduction will give you the basic principles of sensory processing and ideas to take back into the classroom.
