4 Day Intensive SENCo Training Course - Day 1

  • This ever-popular course is for the New SENCo and will give you the head-start you need to manage the role effectively and efficiently.

 

The four day course is highly practical and covers all you need to know about the role, from the new legal framework, the historical and local context for SEND, auditing and quality assuring SEN in your school, to organising the paperwork - and much, much more! The course is good preparation for those wishing to undertake the mandatory qualification for Special Educational Needs. It is also suitable for existing SENCOs who may wish to refresh their skills and knowledge or TAs with responsibility for aspects of Special Educational Needs provision.

Attendees are advised to attend all 4 sessions:

  • Day 1 – Friday 24th May 2019
  • Day 2 – Friday 7th June 2019
  • Day 3 – Wednesday 26th June 2019
  • Day 4 – Tuesday 2nd July 2019

     

    Please note that lunch will not be provided, therefore delegates are advised to bring their own

Jackie Lloyd, External Consultant, SENse

Jackie Lloyd is a leading educational professional in the field of Special Educational Needs and Disability with over thirty years of experience in mainstream state schools across the North West of England. Her role within the School Improvement Service of a local NW authority, as SEN Advisor and Inclusion Development manager, enabled her to share her SEND expertise with hundreds of inner city primary and secondary schools. For the past three years Jackie has been an independent advisor offering bespoke consultancy, advice and training as well as parental advocacy.

By Road: The Rochdale campus is 2.6 miles from junction 20 off the M62. Follow the signs for Rochdale town centre

By Rail: Rochdale train station is a ten minute walk from the Rochdale Campus through the town centre. It is also a Metrolink station, Manchester’s light railway system, which links Rochdale with Oldham, Bury and Manchester City Centre.

By Bus: The Rochdale bus station is approximately 5 minutes’ walk from the Rochdale campus. There are frequent bus services throughout the borough which terminate in Rochdale.
