Governance CPD with impact – getting the most from your Modern Governor e-learning package

With the DfE continuing to emphasise the ‘professionalisation’ of governance, what does that mean for the development of our governing boards?

This practical hands-on session* will explore what ‘learning’ might mean when applied to a governing board and how to ensure that your governors’ or trustees’ experience of professional development impacts your school’s strategic aims.

The session will focus on using the Modern Governor online modules effectively and explore how to move beyond from simply ‘completing training’ more towards ‘professional development’ as governors. Participants can explore the range of online CPD modules and consider how to build-in reflections and outcomes on their professional development within and between their meetings.
