Debating performance and drama KS1 - DATE CHANGED FROM 28.03.24 TO 10.07.24

  • This course will look at skills and techniques that children can use to become confident fluent speakers and performers.
  • It will include a variety of practical ideas for use in the classroom.  These will .include activities such as performance poetry, role play leading to writing in role and simple debate such as conscience alley.

The techniques to be explored will include:

  • hot seating,
  • writing in role,

Esther Logue and Elizabeth Teague

Elizabeth Teague (External Consultant)

Elizabeth has many years teaching and management experience in Rochdale Primary schools.  She was also a leading literacy teacher within the authority.  Elizabeth then became a Teaching and Learning Consultant for Rochdale LEA.  She is now an independent Teaching and Learning Consultant specialising in English CPD for KS1 and KS2 teachers.

Esther Logue (Teaching and Learning Advisor, RBC)

Esther has significant experience of teaching across KS2 within Rochdale.  Current roles include Headteacher in Calderdale,  Operational Moderation manager for KS2 writing and Teaching and Learning Consultant specialising in English. Esther also has many years experience working for the STA, DfE and NFER on KS2 English Assessment.
