Our regular School Breakfast Briefings provide a valuable opportunity for school leaders from all sectors—nursery, primary, secondary, and special—to stay informed and connected
These sessions offer the latest updates on key activities within the school service, including OFSTED and DfE information, and give leaders a chance to engage directly with local authority officers and colleagues.
The briefings are designed to improve communication, transparency, and information sharing, while fostering networking opportunities.
Each session concludes with a Q&A, encouraging open dialogue and collaboration across the Rochdale education community.
This course will look at relevant Moving and Handling legislation and guidelines relating to safe moving and handling for staff who are undertaking these tasks with pupils.
N.B. This training is not about Positive Handling for CYP with behavioural difficulties.

Everyday Materials & Rocks - DATE CHANGED FROM 14.06.24 TO 23.09.24
— Science
This session will focus on the National Curriculum science content requirements for rocks. It will highlight links to previous topics and common misconceptions.
There is so much content in everyday materials that a short session would be insufficient to cover it in enough detail across all year groups.
Therefore everyday materials in Year 5 would not be covered in this session.
