Secondary Disciplinary Literacy Network
- Edgar Wood Academy are hosting a series of Disciplinary Literacy networking events for current whole school literacy co-ordinators or anyone who aspires to hold a literacy responsibility within their schools.
- We will share insights, explore potential collaborations and look for ways to develop meaningful subject knowledge.

Sarina Gaughan Pollard
Sarina is currently Curriculum lead, Whole school literacy Co-ordinator and Head of English. She is passionate about improving curriculum development and has wide experience of improving curriculum standards across English on a whole school level.
Kate Abel
Kate Abel is the Second in English at Edgar Wood Academy. She has a passion for the subject of English and has a drive to improve curriculum with a focus on effective sequencing, embedding powerful knowledge and encouraging a love of reading.
