Talk for Writing KS2
This course will look at the teaching of writing non-fiction within the national curriculum from Year 3 to Year 6, using Talk for Writing.
It will cover the main strategies and techniques that have been developed over the years by many successful Talk for Writing schools.
The day will be ideal for those new to Talk for Writing as well as teachers who are curious about using Talk 4 writing techniques.
Delegates will come away with the main strategies and creative, practical ideas and approaches needed to enhance their teaching of writing. From imaginative ideas for non-fiction to talking and writing across the curriculum.

Esther Logue and Elizabeth Teague
Elizabeth Teague (External Consultant)
Elizabeth has many years teaching and management experience in Rochdale Primary schools. She was also a leading literacy teacher within the authority. Elizabeth then became a Teaching and Learning Consultant for Rochdale LEA. She is now an independent Teaching and Learning Consultant specialising in English CPD for KS1 and KS2 teachers.
Esther Logue (Teaching and Learning Advisor, RBC)
Esther has significant experience of teaching across KS2 within Rochdale. Current roles include Headteacher in Calderdale, Operational Moderation manager for KS2 writing and Teaching and Learning Consultant specialising in English. Esther also has many years experience working for the STA, DfE and NFER on KS2 English Assessment.

By Road: The Rochdale campus is 2.6 miles from junction 20 off the M62. Follow the signs for Rochdale town centre
By Rail: Rochdale train station is a ten minute walk from the Rochdale Campus through the town centre. It is also a Metrolink station, Manchester’s light railway system, which links Rochdale with Oldham, Bury and Manchester City Centre.
By Bus: The Rochdale bus station is approximately 5 minutes’ walk from the Rochdale campus. There are frequent bus services throughout the borough which terminate in Rochdale.
