Educational Visits Advisory Service – Walking Logbook Day
- This practical training day is designed for staff looking to build their digital logbook and walking experience towards qualifications on the Mountain Training Walking Pathway, including Lowland Leader, Hill and Moorland Leader and Summer Mountain Leader.
- The day focuses on providing relevant, quality experience appropriate to the awards of those attending.
As this is a walking-based outdoor session, delivery is weather dependent. The exact venue will be confirmed a few days prior to the course and will be selected to match the remit of the relevant award(s). Due to travel requirements, participants should be aware that this may involve early starts and long days. Course timings will be confirmed in advance.
Equipment
- Group equipment, including maps and compasses, will be provided.
- Participants should bring appropriate personal equipment, dressing for a full day in the expected environment and weather conditions.
- This should include spare layers, food, drinks, and any required medication.
- Walking boots are strongly recommended.
