Primary Assessment Managers Meeting

  • Network meeting for assessment and moderation in Rochdale Primary schools, including: OFSTED readiness, DfE and STA updates, statutory guidance and regulations, data submission and test administration.

There will be two sessions held per term – delegates only need to attend one session per term

Peter Owen (School Improvement Officer, Rochdale MBC)

Peter Owen (School Improvement Officer)

Peter has worked for Rochdale for more than 20 years, as Teaching and Learning Consultant, Secondary National Strategy Advisor, 14-19 Consultant and School Improvement Officer.

Prior to that, Peter was Assistant Headteacher and Head of English at an Oldham Secondary School for 15 years. Peter’s current areas of responsibility include statutory assessment and moderation, ECT induction, SACRE, Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 3 transition, Headteacher appointment and Performance Management, leadership development, governor training and preparation for Ofsted.

Peter combines a detailed knowledge of Rochdale schools with a commitment to raising standards for Rochdale children.

How to get here

By Road: The Rochdale campus is 2.6 miles from junction 20 off the M62. Follow the signs for Rochdale town centre

By Rail: Rochdale train station is a ten minute walk from the Rochdale Campus through the town centre. It is also a Metrolink station, Manchester’s light railway system, which links Rochdale with Oldham, Bury and Manchester City Centre.

By Bus: The Rochdale bus station is approximately 5 minutes’ walk from the Rochdale campus. There are frequent bus services throughout the borough which terminate in Rochdale.
