Inspection – Are You Ready?
- A one day course for primary school leaders and governors to ensure they are ready for inspection. The course will be led by associates with an inspection background.
At the end of the course you will:
- have developed an awareness of the content and implications of the latest Inspection Framework and Evaluation Schedule;
- understand how Inspectors will judge the key areas;
- further develop your ‘inspector eyes’; and
- consider the use of strategies to better prepare your school and school leaders for an inspection including a planning tool to aid your leadership.

Donna Harris (ECM Consultant)
Throughout her career, Donna has been identified as a lead practitioner and an integral member of a number of senior leadership teams. The most recent Ofsted at her current school stated leadership and management were outstanding. Donna spent several years as a leading literacy teacher, deputy head teacher and time as an acting head teacher. She has a proven track record at developing the role of subject leaders.
As a science specialist, Donna is passionate about raising standards and improving outcomes for children in primary science. She is currently the science subject leader at a primary school judged to be outstanding by Ofsted. Using her Chemistry degree from the University of York, Donna uses her thorough knowledge and understanding of science to inspire staff to deliver high quality science lessons which result in outstanding progress for children. Donna’s areas of specific expertise include developing a framework for teachers to enthusiastically and confidently deliver the science curriculum with working scientifically embedded throughout all learning.
Donna has recently been invited by the Standards & Testing Agency to join their KS2 Science Teacher Panel developing future KS2 science sampling tests.
Donna is committed to her role as a successful mentor for teacher colleagues. She has a particular interest in and experience of working with newly qualified teachers across a number of local authorities. Donna has been a school governor and delivered training to governing bodies.

By Road: The Rochdale campus is 2.6 miles from junction 20 off the M62. Follow the signs for Rochdale town centre
By Rail: Rochdale train station is a ten minute walk from the Rochdale Campus through the town centre. It is also a Metrolink station, Manchester’s light railway system, which links Rochdale with Oldham, Bury and Manchester City Centre.
By Bus: The Rochdale bus station is approximately 5 minutes’ walk from the Rochdale campus. There are frequent bus services throughout the borough which terminate in Rochdale.
