RAEYPH - (Rochdale Association of Early Years and Primary Headteachers) Steering Group
- The Steering group is made up of representative Headteachers from each collaborative and a nursery Headteacher.
- The group is jointly chaired by two headteachers.
- The group meets at least once each half term (additional meetings are sometimes arranged) and as well as planning the termly Headteacher conferences.
The group is jointly chaired by two headteachers for a term of two years, the current term will end on 31st August 2024. The chairs at this moment in time are:
Caroline Dunne – Headteacher, St Joseph’s RC Primary School
Helen Arnold – Headteacher, Holy Family RC Primary School
The aims of Steering are as follows:
- To play a pivotal role in the continued development of a self-improving school-led system.
- To create, facilitate, develop and challenge the various structural models of school to school collaboration.
- To represent the views and opinions of Nursery and Primary Headteachers in the Borough of Rochdale.
- To achieve the best possible outcomes for primary pupils within Rochdale Borough
- To foster mutual help, support and understanding amongst Headteachers throughout Rochdale Borough.
- To provide channels of effective communication between other Headteacher groups.
- To consult, contribute and respond to any national or local debate/policy concerning primary education.
