CANCELLED - Outdoor Learning – Forest School Stone Age Camp - DATE CHANGED FROM 23.06.20 TO 07.07.20

  • The Forest School makes an ideal setting for learning about Stone Age history
  • Curriculum links: History (late Neolithic hunter-gatherers & early farmers); PSHE (risk taking); Science (classification & materials)

Hands-on activities can be used to inspire pupils to learn where people would have lived in the local area and how they survived day to day. The session will include fire lighting, cooking over an open fire, clay and charcoal art.

Nature Ed

NatureEd CIC is a Community Interest Company working in an agreement with Rochdale Council and offering a wide range of dynamic environmental education activities from an education base at Hollingworth Lake.

Judy Alderson & Jude Murray are Directors of NatureEd CIC and freelance environmental educators. Judy also works part time as a Countryside Ranger for Rochdale Council and Jude is a sessional instructor with Oldham Outdoor & Environmental Education Service.

These CPD workshops are a chance to share our knowledge of hands-on eco-activities and our expertise as Level 3 Forest School Practitioners.
