Governor Training - The Relationship between Heads and Chairs

The session is for heads and chairs to attend together to explore approaches to effective working relationships, working with and developing the governing body, external accountability and strategic thinking.
The session will be an in-depth look at the new weapons protocol for schools. A look at some case examples and to explore the offer to schools where knife / weapons incidents occur.
The day will be split in half and the other aspect is a look at the Threshold model implemented at EHASH and how we navigate it from a schools perspective we will also look at risk assessments and safety plans.
Each session will also provide the updates from the DSL network that has been cancelled on 23rd April.

Many Rochdale schools have children and young people who require assistance to move or equipment to facilitate personal care, mobility or postural management.
This course will look at relevant Moving and Handling legislation and guidelines relating to safe moving and handling for staff who are undertaking these tasks with pupils.
N.B. This training is not about Positive Handling for CYP with behavioural difficulties.
