Following the success of last year’s half day conference on emotional wellbeing, we are delighted to announce that the Educational Psychology Service are collaborating with #Thrive to deliver a full day’s conference on Promoting Emotionally Healthy Schools in Dec 2017. Positive mental health is the foundation of children and young people’s emotional, social and intellectual growth, underpinning the development of confidence, independence, resilience, and a sense of self-worth. We believe that children and young people who are emotionally healthy will be more able to access learning and meet their learning potential, initiate and sustain healthy personal relationships, problem-solve effectively when setbacks occur, make healthy lifestyle choices and make successful transitions to adulthood.
