Mental toughness is a learned personality trait which determines how we react to challenge, pressure and stress.
It is more than resilience. Research on mental toughness shows that it can have a significant impact on performance, resilience, wellbeing, aspiration and behaviour of both staff and students.
This session explores the key features of mental toughness, their application to schools and how to develop a culture which supports staff and students in developing their mental toughness, allowing them to thrive.
