The meeting will cover:

HLTA Preparer for Assessment and Assessor

I have worked for many years both as a Class Teacher and latterly as a Primary Headteacher. As a Senior Manager and Headteacher  I successfully developed the roles and status of all support staff; administration, teaching, and site management, culminating in gaining several awards for my work (Investor in People and a National Training Award).

Following this, I was appointed as a Senior Lecturer at Edgehill University (Project Manager, HLTA Specialist Secondary Maths and Science Programme) During this time, I delivered the HLTA Preparation for Assessment Programme and undertook many HLTA Assessments.

Now working with HLTA North (Leeds Beckett University), I have since continued this work and have supported many Teaching Assistants across the North West of England in successfully gaining the HLTA Status. I am passionate in my work helping  experienced Teaching Assistants progress their own professional development and helping them attain formal recognition of their experience, expertise, skills, and knowledge by gaining HLTA Status.
