Teaching Assistants Development Programme - 5/6 - Social Skills Intervention
- This development programme specifically designed for Teaching Assistants will run throughout the year and consist of 6 sessions. TA’s can attend all or a selection of these sessions.
- This practical session guides TAs in facilitating effective social skills interventions.
- Drawing on evidence-based programs, we will explore how to teach, model, and practice essential social interaction skills—such as turn-taking, reading social cues, and conflict resolution.
- TAs will learn how to structure small group sessions and support the generalisation of these skills into the playground and classroom.
- We will explore a framework for writing and using effective social stories to help neurodiverse thinkers.
