When Behaviour is not SEND

The NPQ SEN explores the concept that pupils who need a tailored approach to support their behaviour do not necessarily have SEND, whilst some pupils with SEND will not necessarily need additional support with their behaviour.
This course explores top tips for spotting the difference and still adapting appropriately to what behaviour is communicating in any given scenario.

To understand that not all challenging behaviour is SEND-related
To be able to identify when behaviour is and is not SEND-related
To build strategies to develop provision for pupils with behaviour needs, rather than SEND needs
