Ofsted inspections are often a high-stakes environment whereby the results can have significant implications for school. Head teachers often feel enormous pressure to perform well.
Given they are usually announced just a day or two in advance, it leaves little time for preparation. This unpredictability can be stressful for head teachers and staff in the build up to this event.
Finally, the subjective nature of inspections can often feel unfair and affect the morale of school.

This is a course for those of you working with vulnerable young people in primary or secondary in a variety of contexts who have speech, language and communication needs which can contribute to dysregulated behaviour.
It will help you identify those with undiagnosed speech and language needs and provide essential strategies to help you to help them.

ELSA trained staff are working with some of the most vulnerable and sometimes challenging young people in our schools.
It is essential that ELSAs continue to receive specialised professional support that enables them to reflect on the quality and appropriateness of the assistance they are offering.
