Day 1 - Subject Leaders - Focus - whole school reading strategy - 1 day – 12th October 2022 - working together to ensure a joined up approach to Reading for all Key Stages.
Day 2 - open to all teachers - Progression in Reading - 1 day – 24th November - using a variety of materials including new Talk for Reading strategies to ensure all children make progress – comprehension based.
Day 3 - open to all teachers - Progression in Writing - 1 day – 25th January - dovetailing reading activities into writing using Talk for Writing strategies.

This briefing is for schools booked onto the 3 day Early Excellence course – A focus on boy’s learning and development
Andy Burt will deliver a one hour briefing for SLT so that important key messages about boys’ learning and development can be shared.
EYFS colleagues are also welcome to attend this session.
This is a stand-alone session so will need to be booked separately.
This course is run over 3 separate days, over the course of the school year. It is aimed at children who are entering year 6 as a secure year 6 writer. A teacher and up to 3 children will be expected to attend all 3 days training throughout the year.

The child bereavement workshop for schools are designed for teachers and other education professionals who would like to know how to support a pupil experiencing bereavement.

Part 2 - 9th May (AM) - We now build on the knowledge gained in Day 1 to further increase the trainees’ confidence in teaching Primary Languages.
