Disadvantaged Pupils - A Systematic Approach to Improving Outcomes
- During the session, you will work through a process step by step to ensure that barriers for learning are accurately identified for disadvantaged pupils and funding targeted to ensure impact on pupil outcomes in a primary or secondary school.
By the end of the session you will:
- have used a systematic approach to secure outcomes that should diminish the differences for disadvantaged pupils;
- evaluated the impact of previous spending against pupil outcomes;
- considered examples of pupil premium spending that have resulted in improved outcomes for pupils;
- gained an understanding of what inspectors may consider in terms of pupil premium in an inspection;
- considered whether your school is meeting the statutory responsibility by reporting pupil premium information on your school’s website; and
- determined what information should be shared with governors.
