  • The Steering group is made up of representative Headteachers from each collaborative and a nursery Headteacher.
  • The group is jointly chaired and meets at least once each half term (additional meetings are sometimes arranged) and as well as planning the termly Headteacher conferences.

  • This is a bitesize version of a full day, interactive course where existing or aspiring subject leaders are able to share ideas, ask questions and gain advice under the guidance of an experienced primary language teacher, leader and trainer.

  • This course is run over 3 separate days, over the course of the school year.
  • It is aimed at children who are entering year 2 as a secure year 2 writer.
  • A teacher and up to 3 children will be expected to attend all 3 days training throughout the year.

Teaching Assistants Development Programme - 2/6 - Adaptive Practices

— Teaching Assistants

  • This development programme specifically designed for Teaching Assistants will run throughout the year and consist of 6 sessions. TA’s can attend all or a selection of these sessions.
  • This session equips Teaching Assistants with the skills to effectively adapt learning materials and environments.
  • Moving beyond simple differentiation, we will explore evidence-based adaptive teaching strategies that promote independence rather than over-reliance.
  • TAs will leave with a toolkit of practical adjustments to support diverse learning needs within the mainstream classroom.

Year 2 Science - What you need to teach and ideas for teaching working scientifically well

Educational Visits Advisory Service – Walking Logbook Day

  • This practical training day is designed for staff looking to build their digital logbook and walking experience towards qualifications on the Mountain Training Walking Pathway, including Lowland Leader, Hill and Moorland Leader and Summer Mountain Leader.
  • The day focuses on providing relevant, quality experience appropriate to the awards of those attending.
